First Friday Networking Breakfast from 8am - 9:30am. If you want do a 30 second introduction of yourself and your business (or business idea) please make sure you arrive and are in your seat by 8am. Please arrive on time. The cost is $10. Topic: Creating and Maintaining a Flawless Social Media Presence Speaker: Jasmine Smith, Founder and CEO of Pure Communications & Company (Pure Comm & Co.) Description: Whether you're just starting out, or interested in rebranding, social media is the quickest and most common tool, people use to find you. Learn to create a "flawless" social media presence with a few tips and tricks such as: * creating a cohesive Instagram feed * branding your pages (names/color/bio/tagline) * sites that offer great images (free of use) * how often should you post? what channels? Bio: Jasmine Smith, is the founder and CEO of Pure Communications & Company (Pure Comm. & Co.), a small boutique digital marketing and communications firm located in the Washington D.C., area. At Pure Comm. & Co., Jasmine works with small businesses, entrepreneurs on digital marketing, social media management and website development and management. Jasmine got her start, a few years out of her undergraduate career at George Mason University, where she began freelancing communication and public relations work while seeking full-time work. Now, with almost five years of experience and working full-time in the nonprofit sector, Jasmine helps people create and implement strategic digital marketing tactics that will help reach their target audience, maintain an online presence and build their business and brand. She believes that social media is an essential tool that can either help or hurt your business presence, dependent on how it’s utilized and managed; and with the right tools and helps, companies can: reach their goals, reach their audience and increase their revenue. While she’s managing her full-time role and running Pure Comm. & Co., she is also heavily involved as the National & DC Communications Manager of ColorComm, Inc., a member-based organization that connects woman of color within the communications industry, the Public Relations Society of America National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) Blog Co-Manager and serves at her church, Grace Covenant Church, with the children’s ministry.
